It’s been a while since I last updated. So now, I’m gonna share with you something new or different from my past blogs. It is actually my assignment in Understanding the Self subject but I wanted to share this with you because I am so happy and inspired at the same time.
“Not because of who I am. But because of what You’ve done. Not because of what I’ve done. But because of who You are.” This line hits me so damn hard because I believe that it is exactly true. Jesus already had special feelings for us before he entered this sinful world. I’ve came up with this questions: “How could He love a sinner creation like me?” What did I do to deserve his UNCONDITIONAL love?”. As what I’ve known from the past and until now, God gave Christ the honor of having a compassionate and forgiving personality.
From the very beginning, God proved us that He love us unconditionally. In the past, I am doubtful of my faith to Him which is what I regret the most until now because I have no right to question him. “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11). I was awaken by that verse, the reason why I questioned my faith to him was the time my beloved father passed away and I came to realization that you shall not question the Heavenly Father because He is more than the earthly father. I was lost that time, that’s why I can relate to this line “And you’ve told me Who I am, I am Yours, I am Yours.” The ever powerful sense of belonging that is created here is breath taking. To feel alone and hurting is so common nowadays, but after hearing those words once again, that sense of feeling alone is defeated and the sense of hurting starts to fade. The Love of God is an ever powerful feeling and perfect gift.
In His eyes and mind we, without a doubt, are very special, important, magnificent, precious and cherished by him personally. He wanted us to have a relationship with him. You better believe that He will do anything He can to win you over. Which is why He sacrificed His Son on the cross. It was because SIN tears us away from him. Because He cares about you doesn’t want anything harmful to condemn you. And I know for sure He wants us to see the salvation that He has granted us through Christ.
Always keep this in mind: God recognized us as his own, don’t let sin keep you away from his UNCONDITIONAL and IMMEASURABLE LOVE AND MERCY!
Have you ever asked yourself, ‘Who am I really?’ Am I a father, a husband, a friend, a son, a passenger, or what? The truth is that you are a husband because you have a wife. A passenger because you are on a train. So all your identities, everything you believe yourself to be, are all dependent on something else.
I am a DAUGHTER because I HAVE A FATHER – GOD.
By not knowing the answer to the question, ‘Who am I?’, you keep on creating new identities of yourself, consequently going farther away from your true Self. All the suffering in life is because of not knowing your true identity. Until you realize your true Self, you believe yourself to be the name that has been given to you.
So who are you?
