Personal Goals for December 2018

So we have come to the last month of the year, my birth month. How has your year been? I hope it’s been a better year than mine.

This month, I aim to achieve these personal goals:

Feel better about myself.
After all that has happened to us this year, I’ve been wallowing in self-pity lately and we all know it’s not good. I’ve been too hard on myself and it’s destructive, I’m aware of that. That’s why it is important for me that I feel better about myself, in order for me to move forward and face whatever is in store for me in the coming days.

Pay as much debt as possible.
I’ve been really working so hard these past couple of months to make both ends meet for my family and to pay as much debt as possible. Financial freedom and peace is important to me just like how important it is to feel better about myself.

Always stick to the budget.
In order for me to pay as much debt as possible, me and family have to stick to our budget. I know it’s Christmas season and it is expected to be festive and all that, but this year, I think we won’t be celebrating much. Bringing a little food on our table should be enough.

Avoid coffee.
Man, coffee is like my life. I can’t seem to function without it in the past. But now, I feel like it’s been causing me problems. I always feel agitated, sleepless, acne breakouts (y’all know it’s nasty), and a lot more. So no more coffee for me for the time being.

Reach 10,000 steps every day.
I work from home and I’m aware that I live a sedentary lifestyle. I like going out and have a walk every day but I can’t seem to hit the 10K mark. From this moment on, I’m challenging myself to reach this goal.
