Imagine my happiness when Taiwan announced on Tuesday evening, July 2, that they are extending the 14-day visa-free previlege for Filipinos until July 31, 2020 as a display of Taiwan’s amity with the Philippines. I prayed for this!
I’ve been talking about going back to Taiwan after my first visit there January of this year. I just love Taiwan, I don’t know why! It just left a mark on me. Maybe because it’s very different from the Philippines? It’s too developed, too organized. I just love it there.

“This privilege is a display of Taiwan’s amity with the Philippines as the country continues to boost the travel convenience for Filipinos to visit Taiwan for leisure, business, or other short-term purposes,” Taiwan said.
“The visa-free privilege also aims to deepen Taiwan’s multifaceted relations with the Philippines, particularly in the fields of tourism, trade, investment, education, agriculture, fisheries, and healthcare, etc,” it added.
Since I’m still recovering (financially) from my recent 18-day Southeast Asian trip, I was thinking of going to Taiwan either on December or January 2020. Just in time for winter!
The thing I like about winter is I can dress up for the cold weather which I can’t do here in the Philippines. The cool weather is just amazing… I really love it!
Anyway, I still have to save for that. This is a great motivation to work harder, actually.
I may go alone this time or probably tag my sister or brother along with me. We’ll see how it all goes.
This Taiwan trip will be a birthday present for myself this year. I am so excited!
